Relics of Christ’s Passion, Death and Resurrection

Shroud of Turin, (Small linen fibers taken directly from Christ’s actual burial cloth – includes an Ecclesiastical Document of Authenticity, dated 1806 A.D.)

Wood of the True Cross of Christ, (3 small fragments) – Discovered in Jerusalem by St. Helen, and subsequently brought to Rome (324 A.D.)

 

Six ambry-style cabinets, donated by four parishioner households and two parish organizations are now housing numerous first class relics from the personal collection of Fr. Joseph and Mary Marquis

The ambry cases were blessed by Bishop Milan Lach, SJ, Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Parma during his first pastoral visit to Sacred Heart Church on Sunday, October 14, 2018, Sunday of the Fathers of the 7th Ecumenical Council (787 A.D.)
